...freaky guitars & pedals..

..improvise..

..just tryin' to reach The Sound...

...basic questions...

...the most common questions...

...among guitarists is about the kind of woods, the bridge, the pickups, the tuining machines of a guitar. Noone asks about the sound. Noone asks about the feeling of the music, the magic. It's like, playin' music  is pickups, woods and bridge...

...so as big Steeve used to say

...you want to play music; put your guitar on an amp and floor it,

                                                        that's music: just floor it!...

...basic answers...

 ...all together...

...the sound of an el. guitar as comes out of an amp depends 40% from the guitar and 60% from the amp..

...if there is use of pedals the guitar's sound is less than 35% and amp's 50-55%... the rest is the pedal's sound... ...sometimes the pedal sound comes over 30%...

...so the basic questions about the construction of the guitar are in this 25-40% of the sound...

...asking just for the woods of a guitar is meaningless. The kind of wood says nothing if you don' know the wood lines -how many and how..also if you don't know about the neck-body fixin'...

...all these and many others, say about the sound you can get from a gtr...

                                                   ...but must be all together...

...beginners' guitars and the others...

...talking 'bout low price guitars usually called beginners' as something without value is a big mistake...
...a beginner must have a guitar that is absolutely fixed in tune... from the other hand a professional player can play on every guitar perfect...
...so what is a beginners' guitar...
...is simply a guitar made of wood and iron parts as every guitar...
...there aren't beginners' guitars and professionals'..just beginners and professional players...
...these may be well made guitars or have to be fixed up to be well made...
...the right word for beginners' guitar is affordable, or low price...
...most of these guitars are very well made, others have to fix the level of the frets, the nut, to upgrade the pickups sometimes and then there are well made also..
...there are guitars of very low price that are easy to play almost like very expensive guitars and have almost the same sound...

...the stratocaster is a MIM fender of 1991, medium price guitar, upgraded with dimarzio, gfs and seymour  duncan with full shilding on body and pickguard...
...the lespaul is a cimar of 1973 - cimar by ibanez, low price guitar, upgraded with seymour duncan 59 pickups...i used them both on gigs very often...
...take a look on the video below to hear them...

...so don't confuse elit expensive guitars made of luthiers or brand names or signature instruments with a well made guitar...
...i believe good guitar is the one that suits in your hand and your ear and nothing more...

... guitar is just the end of the soul of a guitarist...

...the best way to make your guitar sound good...

...is to give it in good hands...

...2010 - 2012, two years workin' on guitar projects...

...the guitar projects below are the results of my experimentation in sound for the last two years, 2010 - 2012...

...all of these happened with the help -the one or the other way, of good friends of mine...

...special thanks to Dimitris Dimou, Stavros Ntucas, Marios Polihroniades, Deniz Aggelaki, Dimitris Kokkinos...

...i also want to thank all the friends that with their good comments and likes gave me the strength and the courage to continue...

                                                      ...see you on board...
